25th March Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.
Provo Golf Club, The Turks and Caicos 18 hole Championship golf course has been voted into the #4 spot of 2012 USAToday's 10Best Top Ten Caribbean Golf Courses.
‘So fantastic to receive this great honour’ comments Dave Douglas, Director of Golf, ‘We have moved up one spot better than our previous two awards, which shows how much of a difference the re-turfing with Platinum Paspalum grass had made, hopefully next year, we will be in the top 3!. Once again I have to give a shout out to all of our staff who have worked so hard to make Provo Golf Club the excellent facility it is.
10Best is a unique award since no business pays to be listed and independent readers help pick the 10best in any category. Travel experts select the top 20 nominees in the contest, and it is up to readers to make the final decision by casting their vote. Provo Golf Club requested votes via Facebook, and through their contact list of Turks and Caicos' residents.
This was the third nomination for Provo Golf Club and competition was tough, with the course up against the-best-of-the-best in The Caribbean. First place was awarded to East Course at Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico, second to St Regis Bahia in Puerto Rio, and third to Old Quarry Golf Course in Curacao.
